ABSTRACT: The role of early childhood education in emotional regulation is crucial for understanding how early educational experiences shape children's ability to manage and express their emotions appropriately. This study examines how early childhood education programs influence the development of emotional regulation in young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's ability to manage their emotions, (2) evaluate the integration of emotional regulation activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's behavior and social interactions. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on the role of early childhood education in emotional regulation. A purposive sample of 120 children  from preschools in Benue State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its emphasis on emotional regulation activities. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's ability to manage their emotions, the effectiveness of emotional regulation activities, and positive changes in children's behavior and social interactions. Recommendations included integrating emotional regulation activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to enhance children's emotional regulation skills.
